Private Tastings began as a request.
For years, we’ve catered Korean BBQ dinner parties across Los Angeles—bringing the full experience to homes, venues, and private events. Over time, guests kept asking the same thing:
“Do you have a restaurant?”
Private Tastings are our answer. We’re opening our doors in a limited, chef-hosted format for guests who have been curious about our Korean BBQ offerings, heard of Chef John Bach, or simply wanted to experience what we do—without needing to plan an event.
These are intimate dinners hosted at a private DTLA warehouse location. Guests are guided through a progression of steak-focused courses, with the chef preparing, explaining, and sharing stories throughout the night at the pace of conversation.
Prime Steak Tasting $125 per person.
Omakase Steak Tasting $195 per person.
2 person minimum.

No. Private Tastings are not restaurant reservations. These are chef-hosted tasting dinners held in a private space and scheduled by request.

What is the price?
$125–$195 per guest plus beverages.
Is this Korean BBQ?
Yes — our roots are in Korean BBQ catering, and Private Tastings are an extension of that style of cooking. The experience is steak-forward and chef-led, with courses that highlight our approach to Korean BBQ flavors, technique, and hospitality.
What is the difference between Private Tastings and your catering service?
Catering is a full Korean BBQ experience hosted at your home or venue for events and parties. Private Tastings are hosted by the chef at our DTLA location and designed for smaller groups who want to experience our food without planning an event.
Do you publish the menu in advance?
Menus are not published ahead of time. Each evening is curated by the chef and may change week to week based on seasonality and availability.
How many guests can attend?
Private Tastings can be requested for 2 guests and up, including larger groups and full buyouts depending on availability.
How long does the experience last?
Most tastings last approximately 2 hours, depending on the evening and group size.
Do you offer wine pairings?
Wine pairings may be available for select dates. If you’re interested, mention it in your request and we’ll confirm availability.
